Many patients also postponed routine preventive care such as colonoscopies during this period. Then, most ordinary care resumed in the latter half of 2020 as case numbers, and the strain on hospitals, declined.

Ambulatory Surgery Center Accessibility in the USA

April 12, 2021

Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) are a rapidly growing, safe, convenient, and inexpensive alternative to surgeries performed in a hospital. Many patients seeking lower costs—or simply to avoid the stress of a hospital setting—are increasingly turning to ASCs for their surgical procedures.
